About me

My name is Elly and I am a registered childminder in Newcastle Upon Tyne. I am trained as a Primary teacher, however after my daughter was born I decided full-time teaching is not for me and as I really enjoy working with children and helping them in their development, I decided childminding was the perfect job for me. 

Qualifications

I regularly complete training in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding.

I recently completed a Level 3 qualification in Speech and Language support.

I also have a PGCE in Primary Education and a degree in French and German.

I have a full driving licence and we often use the car for day trips away from the setting.

Experience

I have been working as a childminder for 13 years and have worked in partnership with many families during that time. I usually care for 2 or 3 early years children during the day and we also have a number of children who join us before and after school, many of whom first joined us as babies.
